Laura has been serving in the office at PCC since 1991. She is originally from the Western Pennsylvania area and has lived in New York since 1981.

Laura came to know the Lord in a personal way at the early age of eight and was always active in church and youth activities, loved children, volleyball, and singing in various groups.

Laura is a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA and majored in Christian School Education. She met her husband, Randy, in college and they were married in 1977. After teaching several years in Christian schools in NY and PA, she took some time off to raise their family of two children (now grown) – Jonathan and Cherith. She returned to work part time at the University of Rochester, and through circumstances and a definite leading of the Lord, she began her part time position at Pittsford Community Church in 1991.

Since 1991 the church has grown tremendously and so has the office responsibilities. Laura is now full time at PCC and even depends on her faithful assistant, Susan Layher, to accomplish all the things that keep the church office “hopping” these days!
