Rev. Dr. Dana Goodnough - Senior Pastor

Rev. Dr. Dana L. Goodnough - Senior PastorPastor Dana Goodnough has been serving at Pittsford Community Church since 1985. A native of the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, Dana grew up in the town of Moravia.

It was in Moravia that Dana met his high school sweetheart, Monica. They were married in 1980 and have enjoyed church ministry together. Dana and Monica have three children—Andrew, Emma, and Adam. All three have received Jesus Christ as their Savior and are growing in their faith.

Dana has been blessed with several outstanding educational opportunities. He received a diploma from Moody Bible Institute (Chicago, IL) and a B.A. degree from Calvary Bible College (Kansas City, MO). Dana graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Th.M. degree in 1985, majoring in Bible Exposition. After beginning his ministry at Pittsford Community Church, Dana completed an M.A. degree in counseling at Liberty University and, most recently, his Doctor of Ministry degree in church leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary. He was ordained in Pittsford Community Church in 1986.

Dana has also been involved in short term mission activities in Europe, Russia, Jamaica, Saipan, and Indonesia.

In addition to his family, Dana's greatest joy is found in studying and teaching the Word of God. Expository preaching, that is, preaching verse by verse through large passages or whole books of the Bible, has been his primary focus. Over the course of his twenty-plus years of pastoral ministry, Dana has preached through almost half of the New Testament in this way and, Lord willing, will continue to preach through the Scriptures in the years ahead.
